Distracted by a commotion of thoughts, my mind tries to escape from your words. If we could only see things in black and white, our eyes would see the good and the bad from afar. Instead, we live trying to preserve the trust and hope that we share. The bad hides in the sunlight; it burns our eyes and leaves us blind. I keep hiding from them, but nothing good lies in dark alleys.
Imagine a soul without a body, dancing and flying through every universe and not holding on to this world. Instead, we have to be stuck in this body for a while and continue writing our own stories.
Sadly, with our eyes we judge the bodies that wrap our souls. We don't know what we've been through. However, we say words that belittle our body, but we end up damaging the soul's core.
"Can you understand? Someone, somewhere, can you understand me a little, love me a little? For all my despair, for all my ideals, for all that —I love life. But it is hard, and I have so much —so very much to learn." —Sylvia Plath
