Juxtaposed

Photos by: Maria Alejandra Delgado

I'm deep into contrasting feminine pieces with menswear. My tomboy side is always there, even in my attires. I remember playing with my brother's toys and I also loved wearing my purple Pocahontas bathing suit. Today, I'm still a combination of a sporty girl who plays soccer and a fashion enthusiast.
This look is no exception. My boyfriend jeans adds the coolness to my ensemble while the white top and the mid heel sandals reveals my feminine side.

Thanks for passing by!
Sincerely, Andrea Devoto

The Summer Sandal

Scrolling through Pinterest and seeing all the possible ways to incorporate these comfy sandals to any attire, made me want to purchase my own. I never knew they could look so good and now I want to wear them with every single outfit. They give a relaxed look to any ensemble you want to sport, and the best thing is —besides being comfy— they are on trend for Spring and Summer.
Even thought an all black attire isn't always my first choice —specially during a sunny day—, I wanted to create a minimal look and make my accessories the center of attention. Besides, black is classic and it transmits a sense of mysteriousness in your persona.

Would you try this trend? I'm curious to know.
Thanks for reading!
Sincerely, Andrea Devoto

*A special thanks to my friend Guanina Cotto for joining me to have coffee and for taking these cool snaps.

Casual Friday

Photos by: Zulmarie Díaz

I wanted to start this weekend off with some wardrobe basics, but combining them with statement accessories: a hat and a pair of sunnies. They both did a great job at hiding my so tired face as a result of a really hard week.

Also, I want to take this opportunity to give a special thanks to my talented friend and photographer for helping me, by taking those great pictures for the blog. Working with her is effortless; she always understands what I am aiming for in conceptual terms and is a great help on set, quickly fixing any hair/outfit mishaps. I always have a blast shooting with her, and we laugh —as always— about everything.

Thanks for passing by! Don't forget to like my page on facebook and follow me on instagram.
Have a good one!
Sincerely, Andrea Devoto

Winter Hues

Photos by: Zulmarie Diaz

Grey and white have been my favorite colors to wear this season. Whenever I think of winter, soft hues and a lot of white come to mind, just as seen on these pictures my lovely friend --and new photographer (yay!)-- took of me. I love when my outfits involve elegant and sporty pieces; they make the perfect street style look.
This ensemble was inspired by my new job, yes you got that right! I landed an internship with a local magazine where I'll be writing about fashion, styling photo shoots, and a couple of other things involving creative work. My pin striped blazer will help my attires look formal, and my trainers will give me comfort during a complete day of work. Both combined give a sophisticated and relaxed yet 'très chic' look for my everyday duties.

What do you think about this look?
Thanks for passing by, my lovely readers.

Miami Bound

Two weeks ago —as some of you may know— I went to Miami with my family, and it was almost as I had imagined. The only thing I hadn't thought of were the freezing winds during the day. But that didn't stop me from wearing my tropical dress, which I dreamed of walking the artsy streets of Miami in. I instinctively avoided shadows to enjoy the sun's warmth, which caressed my cold skin. Besides that, everything was perfection.
My favorite part was definitely Wynwood. Its artsy and picturesque streets were a great source of inspiration for me. Although I didn't have time to see everything, I had the opportunity to enjoy the art on display, the great ambiance, and its tropical vibes. Now I have a good excuse to go back in the near future, and enjoy every little corner of its amazing artistry.
My next stop was Bayside Market, where I had the most relaxing time of my life. I got an amazing massage and then I enjoyed a mango daiquiri next to the ocean view.
This was an ideal way to end my vacations and start a new semester with a great sense of relaxation.

Thanks for the visit!

Serendipity

I believe in happy accidents, specially when it comes to clothes or accessories. I was at Forever 21 last week when I accidentally found this stunning skort hanging alone on top of some sweatshirts. It was meant to be, and to my surprise I had the exact change in my wallet to buy it. Isn't this serendipity? I believe it is.
This happens to me very often when I go to the mall with no intentions to buy anything. They just appear right in front of me, and luckily I had the money this time.

Besides that, I'm really excited that I started Christmas break yesterday. Now I can take a little time to sew, draw, and keep my blog updated. Soon I'll be posting some creations that I'm dying to show you.

Thanks for reading!
