ALMOST FAMOUS

Necklace c/o: PineappleHeart / Shirt: Marshalls / Skirt: F21 / Sandals: Zara / Sunglasses: UO

Last month, I introduced a different yet classic fabric to my wardrobe: Suede.  As we all know, the Seventies are everywhere this Spring giving a modern take to what François Hardy and Jane Birkin probably once wore. As much as I like the style of that era, dressing up as a character from Almost Famous is a thing I would like to avoid, because: 1.) Is not completely my style and 2.) It's not Halloween yet.

My advice on pulling off the Seventies-inspired look is to incorporate one piece to your attire that would be the main character; such as your flared jeans or —in my case— a buttoned down suede skirt. The rest of my ensemble was just a combination of my go-to pieces which kept the look true to my personal style.

Would you dare to try it?

Sincerely,
Andrea Devoto

Sporting Life

It seems as if sporty and laid back trends are still making noise at the runways.  Designers are beautifully combining luxurious aesthetics with sport wear elements managing to make the modern woman look sexy and powerful.  Who doesn't want to be a bride dressed in a Chanel number, and pair it with trainers to walk (or maybe run) down the isle?

Being a sporty chick myself, how couldn't I be a big fan of this trend?  I've been incorporating a sporty flair to my outfits since I was a tomboy in primary school.  Now, my attires add up a lady-like side to the equation.

This look was all about styling a cute top in an unexpected way to make it look edgy and casual.  The sportswear pieces made of leather balance out the outfit between relaxed and sophisticated.

Luxe athletic, sporty chic, or whatever you like to call it, is a trend that is here to stay.
Now, who's ready for the Alexander Wang x H&M collection?  I am.

Thanks for passing by!
Sincerely, Andrea Devoto
