Into the Blue

Maybe the one thing that nobody knows about me is that I love makeup. That is because I just wear it if I want to cover any temporary imperfection or for some special occasion. But still, I always choose between a brown smoky eye or just a black cat-eye. But when it comes to my lipstick, on the contrary, I love to try out every color that could accentuate my full lips.
This time I chose to experiment with the opposite: striking eyes and neutral lips. Lately I have been seeing a lot of amazing blue eye makeup on the runways and editorials. So I just thought I could give it a shot. The secret is to make it impeccable or it could turn out into a total disaster making yourself look tacky in lieu of classy. I tried this blue cat-eye makeup before but I've never left home with it. I always play it safe with the classic black cat-eye and red lips combo.

What do you think? Should I give it a try and leave home with it next time?

A Magical Piece

I would like to take today's post to talk about my latest creation which you might have seen on my last post. Just to give you some background information, two months ago a generous designer gave me this silk fabric with an amazing, one of a kind print. The first thing that came to mind was making a flare midi skirt, because: 1) I thought the print had potential to manifest its beauty in movement, 2) I was craving a skirt like the one on Isa Arfen's SS'14 collection; very femenine and classy.
The end results were perfectly as I imagined. When I tried it on, I felt like wandering the streets of Paris, just like Maryna Linchuk in the Miss Dior Chérie commercial. I know the streets of this Island are nothing like Paris, but at least I got my magical, one a kind skirt that does a good job of making me feel like a true femme parisienne.

I'm looking forward to showing you more of my creations in the near future.
